HAPPY (?) BIRTHDAY ALPHONSUS
Good and bad things happen to people on their birthdays. Mine saw rotten eggs and expired milk. The zone supervisor of Murdoch certainly experienced his share of love.

GENTING
I’m beginning to prefer using my Nikkor 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 over the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8. During my Genting trip, I brought only the former, the Nikkor 50mm F/1.8 and my SB600 with new yummlicious Sanyo Eneloop batteries that cost me S$60! Everything is so expensive – O-M-G! The low self-discharge NiMH batteries are reported to be able to retain its charge to about 70 to 85% of their capacity after one year of use – so in a way, I’ll be saving money and the inconvenience of buying new batteries in the long run.
Caution: This post is going to be bandwidth heavy!

Shot was taken out of a window outside Highland hotel. Scenery was beautiful as the sun was setting. The time was approximately 6.30PM. The hotel’s window had a lock which didn’t allow me to open the window fully but I still manage to slide my fat lens across an opening to capture this. The coolness of the air added a punch to the whole experience. Wicked!

To the left of the moutains (previous image) were these blocks of hotel apartments. The cable car lines stretched all the way down to Kuala Lumpur and take those narrow roads alongside the moutain and you’ll be literally living life on the edge! I like the nice contrast between the green foregrounds and the blue backgrounds of the the skies and moutains (or hills?).

SINGAPORE’S WEATHER
Can someone please educate and tell me why is Singapore’s weather such a misery? The nights are terribly warm even. Argghh..
LAZY ME
I’m so lazy to blog but I’ll do so the moment I reach Singapore. Blame my lazy bones. Perth has much to offer. Ha.
JUDGING PEOPLE
I have learned not to judge people after watching the film The Oasis: Australia’s Homeless Youth yesterday during documentary class. I feel so inspired by the film I told myself I’m never going to judge anyone again.
Behind every murderer, thief or prostitute lies a person. Behind every person lies a journey that brought him or her to where he or she is. If we don’t even understand this journey, what right do we have to judge him?
CAPTAIN’S BALL
Some great shots taken two weeks ago at the Murdoch field. This site is transforming into a photoblog.

ALAN CHONG PARTY
I’ve written and recorded a pretty interesting rap song. This song speaks of the Alan Chong party and everyone in my cell group is somewhat intoxicated and singing along to it. Download it to listen. Leave a comment to tell me what you think!
I’ll be returning to Singapore next month! I’m not exactly excited because life here has been pretty fulfilling. But I would love to meet my parents and see the girlfriend! In fact, I’m already looking forward to the next semester because like Jesus said, greater things are yet to come!
Some photos taken on Caryn’s 21st at South Perth!

Colours are pretty bad on this one despite repeated tweakings.

The washing up!

This shot was taken by Christine. Love the textures though!
EASTER SUNDAY PHOTOS
Today is Australian Day so there are no classes! I finally submitted my last paper of the semester this afternoon and I feel good! Four more post-production work to go! Here were some of the highlights taken during Easter two Sundays ago!
